New York, New York, so good they named it twice. Stepping  into this vibrant, cosmopolitan city, you will experience what can only be described as  a traveller’s dream. You can relax in Central Park, enjoy the hustle and bustle of the shops, dance the night away in world class nightclubs or buzz the top’s of skyscrapers in a helicopter, it all happens here in the Big Apple. It is also happening in Atlantic City and The Jersey Shore which combine well with New York to make a fantastic holiday where you can play spot the celebrity and spot the TV and film locations.

New York is the perfect location for a weekend break with flights from most U.K. airports, many of them direct. Many people combine New York with a second location such as Las Vegas, San Francisco, Florida or Niagara Falls. You can even combine it with a luxury cruise if you fancy a bit of relaxation after shopping yourself silly in Macy’s. New York has a vast quantity of hotels of different standards, ranging from the ‘cheap and cheerfull’ to the luxurious. New York is split into various areas but most people tend to locate themselves in the midtown Manhattan area or the upper west side, which was made famous in the TV programme, Sex and the City.

In the daylight hours you can enjoy one of the many bus tours which take you to some of the hidden treasures of the city which include the famous Greenwich Village, Chinatown and Little Italy. Of course no visit would be complete without a visit to the Empire State building and Times Square. For the more adventurous take a helicopter ride and see New York from above, an experience that will stay with you forever. Another option to see a ‘different’ New York is on board one of the many harbour cruises that will give you a close up view of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the famous Brooklyn Bridge.

By night you could enjoy a show at one of the lavish Broadway theatres, sample the culinary delights of New York’s famous resteraunts  or use up that excess energy at one of the numerous nightclubs that cater for all tastes.

If you fancy a complete out of town experience you could take in a full day excursion to Niagara to see the amazing waterfalls, yet another reason to make New York your next trip.
